Whitetail Deer Hunting
Republican Valley Outfitters offers exceptional whitetail deer hunts on leased private property throughout Clay, Cloud, Riley and Ottawa Counties. Superb deer quality, consistent shot opportunities, and high trophy harvest success is achieved at Republican Valley Outfitters by attracting a patient, self sufficient hunter that is set on "going big or going home," knowing that any minute a heavy-horned monster buck could step out.
What to expect:
Following a check-in with Mike Smith or one of the guides with Republican Valley Outfitters a day or two before your hunt, the hunter(s) is instructed and/or taken to all the location options available to them. We highly encourage the usage of a GPS with land ownership (like OnX Maps or another program). Once the ladder stands and/or ground blinds are known, the hunter(s) can move about the properties and hunt as they see fit. Mike Smith or one of the guides will be in constant communication with the hunter(s) about deer movements, weather and wind directions, etc to increase harvest success.
Your responsibilities:
Deer hunters are responsible for their own meals and lodging in the Clay Center, Kansas area, as well as all the meat processing and shipping. Taxidermy recommendations are available upon request. All paperwork is signed and hunts are paid in full prior to hunting.

Buy a Kansas Deer Preference Point!
No units in Kansas are 100% drawn for a whitetail deer tag. Hunt Unit 8 had a 65% successful draw rate in 2023. A preference point is valuable if you are hoping to draw your first choice for a nonresident whitetail permit. Resident whitetail tags are over-the-counter.
